Arsha Kaviani

Praised for his prodigious talent and impassioned, bravura playing, Arsha Kaviani has already made a mark as a young pianist to watch. Born in Dubai, He has been soloist with orchestras such as the Qatar Philharmonic and the Tonhalle Zurich Orchestra, and has been recitalist in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, playing not only the fundamental canon of the piano repertoire, but also performing works of his own in addition to unjustly neglected composers’ such as Nikolai Medtner, Busoni and S.Feinberg, and often improvising on themes from the audience. Since coming to England at the age of 16 on a scholarship to Chetham’s School of Music, he now is finishing his Masters at the Royal College of Music and was selected as one of the Rising Stars of the college. Arsha has been selected as a soloist by the prestigious Orpheum Foundation (For The Advancement of Young Soloists), which resulted in his debut at the prestigious Zurich Tonhalle, with their namesake Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Kristjan Jarvi- sponsored by the Orpheum Foundation, who has invited him back to play two nights of Mozart Concerti in November 2014 with Howard Griffiths.

"The composition [Strauss' Burleske] was suitable not only for the representation of Kaviani's dazzling virtuosity, but also came to meet his flair for witty and sparkling scherzando elements."
